Our Intention
… is to help develop a clear framework and practical methods with a teacher training curriculum,
to help create happy schools from Primary to Higher Secondary, first in Hue and later in Vietnam.
It raises the awareness that True Happiness can be achieved if we can learn and practice 3 modes of Care:
SELF CARE
Students learn to develop their full potential: knowledge, compentencies, skills, talents and creativity
care for others and society
Students learn to live in harmony with others, creating the meaningful relationships, become responsible citizens and thus contribute to a Happy society.
Care for nature
Students learn to respect and protect out fragile environment and live in harmony with Nature.
Core practices
…to care for one’s self
Mindfulness
Class starts with a moment of mindful breathing to help students to stay focused and to be fully in the present moment.
Mindfulness practice helps teachers and students to recognize and manage strong emotions. This is especially important for doing well in school.
…to care for Others & SOCIETY
Sharing from the heart
“Sharing from the heart” circles are created for teachers and students to have opportunity to practice deep listening, social awareness and relationship management.
Sharing from the heart enables more authentic, caring and supportive relationships in the classroom.
…to care for Nature
Time in Nature and Gardening
More green space is created in schools to offer a place where students can have direct interaction with nature every day.
Experience in the garden gives students awareness of where their vegetables come from, and a sense of responsibility to keep their surrounding clean.
