A testimony from Nils Sareczki
STUDENT IN THE CAS (GENEVA) & Manager at Services Industriels de Genève (SIG)
Participants from the first edition of the CAS (2019) in partnership with the Haute Ecole de Gestion, Geneva - during the last Residential training.
« This Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) immerses its participants by putting us in a frame of mind that goes way beyond the mere introduction of tools in one’s company. It is about understanding the true meaning of Happiness and Wellbeing in the context of an organisation. We first learn that it begins with one’s own Happiness and that behind this philosophy, lie a multitude of topics, from the management of one’s own emotions to generative listening and self-acceptance. Far from dogmatic and esoteric theories, Gross National Happiness relies on an innovative vision for development and concrete indicators. During the course of Module 3, we had the opportunity to test a prototype in the context of our organisation, with our teams, which personally, demonstrated that with very few means but with a solid, rooted intention, it really is possible to reinforce the wellbeing of our peers and collaborators. »

A testimony from Verena Mühlberger,
Global Learning & Development Partner from Greenpeace International
“Working with ELI has brought me new perspectives and approaches to topics that are familiar to me - and some new insights. I feel that we have a good base since we share common visions and goals. I hugely appreciate the complementarity of ELIHW and Greenpeace: you are bringing expertise, themes and views that we were missing in most of our work and trainings so far. The way you are delivering it is inspiring for our training participants and for ourselves, the training team. It’s also challenging, which is great! I feel that our collaboration is very open, smooth, trustful and appreciative. I like your process-oriented approach, which is very similar to how I am used to working.”
Testimony from a Happy Schools parent
Ms. Lan Le-Thi-Mai, Principal of Thuan Thanh Primary School (Hue)
“Happy Schools has offered me the know-how to build up quality relationships in school context. I treat our school’s teachers and staff wholeheartedly and responsibly; as a resut, I receive love, kindness and discipline from my co-workers and student’s parents; students are also friendly, close and loving toward me. Our teacher council is united and inter-dependent; we are also highly responsible toward our students, thus parents (of the students) and the local government highly appriciate and deeply trust us.
I can feel there is such a family-like atmospheree in our school. Teachers solve classroom challenges more effectively. They also share, in a much calmer and more compassionate manner, about the ‘tough’ kids in the inclusive classroom and about cases in which they have to deal with challenging parents.
As a school admin, I learn a much more persuasive and inspring way to work with my co-workers and to resolve conflicts when it arises; I also identified the core values upon which our team is built.”
